NATIONAL NONPROFIT DAY!
August 17th, 2022, celebrates and recognizes the goals and positive impacts nonprofits have on communities and the world.
We want to share some incredible organizations we have had the opportunity to work with and how Team Phun has been able to collaborate on their branding needs!
NATIONAL DOMESTIC WORKERS ALLIANCE
WHO THEY ARE:
The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) works for the respect, recognition, and rights for the nearly 2.5 million nannies, house cleaners, and home care workers who do the essential work of caring for our loved ones and our homes.
Event Merch: Team Phun has been working with NDWA since 2019, creating event merch for their volunteers, attendees, and donors to unite the community in supporting essential workers. From t-shirts and branded tote bags to pins and decorated fanny packs as giveaways, custom merch has been an enormous success for NDWA!

Signage & Displays: A big part of NDWA’s work is showing up in an impactful way to get their mission across to legislatures and voters who can make a change for all essential workers. One of the ways Team Phun is involved is by creating signage that elevates the event and allows for what NDWA is working towards to be seen during these outdoor events and rallies.

E-Commerce Solutions: With such a large community to support, NDWA was looking for a more manageable program that allowed their inventory of event signage, branded apparel, and custom merch to be stored and accounted for. Team Phun built a private online store for program directors to easily see what products they had and an easy way to “place an order” with our team, who then would send the items to whichever location was in need.

Fulfillment Programs: Not only is NDWA showing up in full force for rallies and events, but they also show up for all of their members by sending out product kits to each member individually on an ongoing basis. NDWA was looking to outsource their storage and fulfillment to us so they could focus on their primary goals.
Team Phun has created a fulfillment program for NDWA that allows them to collaborate with their Brand Consultant on upcoming projects. We will then source products, store them in our facilities, put together each needed kit, and ship them out individually. These kits have spanned from Welcome Mailer Packages to movie premiere boxes.
SAN DIEGO FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION & FIREFIGHTER AID
WHO THEY ARE:
For over 100 years, the San Diego Fire Relief Association has been providing for the protection, care, and relief of the members of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. FirefighterAid is a 501(c)(3) fund managed by San Diego Fire Relief Association. Their mission is to provide charitable assistance to Firefighters and their families in times of need and to promote awareness of Firefighter health and safety issues and the impacts they have upon their families and communities.
Team Merch: One of the reasons Team Phun loves working with nonprofits is that within one organization, there are multiple groups with whom we get to collaborate. With the San Diego Fire Relief Association, we have not only worked with them on event apparel for attendees but also worked with their internal teams and created embroidered polos as uniform wear for all members.

Event Support: One event that Team Phun has been so grateful to be part of has been the Firefighter Aid’s annual 9/11 Stair Climb which allows our team to give back to the First Responders who serve our nation daily. From creating artwork, sourcing the right apparel for the event, setting up a booth, and printing on the spot, we love supporting every event!
E-Commerce Solutions: A large portion of what keeps a nonprofit up and running is the donations or revenue from fundraisers. After having worked with San Diego Fire Relief Association for a few years, Team Phun was able to bring a new E-Commerce program to their fundraising.
Rather than an entire E-Commerce store, we have built a program called Simple Stores which allows for accessible order collection specifically for fundraising so that you know exactly how much of your items you need to purchase. By creating a Simple Store, they could easily share a single website for anyone to place apparel orders that would support the organization.
ACLU OF SOUTH CAROLINA
WHO THEY ARE:
The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union — beyond one person, party, or side. Their mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees.
ACLU X TEAM PHUN:
Team Merch: When the pandemic hit in 2020, many organizations sought ways to bring their communities together from everyone’s homes. ACLU of South Carolina used custom merch and apparel as an easy but effective way for the organization and its supporters to feel still connected! Team Phun provided branded t-shirts, headwear, and custom stickers as team member uniforms and popular items for purchase.

BE A MENTOR
WHO THEY ARE:
Be A Mentor enables youth to develop positive relationships with caring adults who empower them to reach their full potential through mentorship. Their vision is to ensure that all youth have the character, confidence and leadership skills to be successful in pursuing their dreams.
BE A MENTOR X TEAM PHUN:
Custom Merch: The mission behind their organization is impossible without the community coming together to make a difference. Part of coming together is effectively spreading their brand to new communities that can help. Team Phun has collaborated with Be A Mentor to create fun branded apparel and headwear with their name front and center to create an easy way to advertise the organization, whether on outings for the program or after hours.

Signage & Displays: Another aspect of Be A Mentor is the events they put on for people to learn about the programs they offer and show the best ways to get involved and support. Like branded apparel, creating eye-catching displays has been an effective way to share what the organization does. Team Phun has worked with Be A Mentor on designing and printing signage that Be a Mentor can reuse at upcoming events!

CORE - CHILDREN OF RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES:
Founded in 2004 by beverage executives who recognized a need to help employees with children who worked in food and beverage service operations at times of health crises and natural disaster. CORE provides support in the form of a financial grant when an employee, spouse or child faces a medical crisis, injury, death, or natural disaster. Additionally, CORE provides employee engagement opportunities, partnership opportunities and resources for all organizations. Get involved here!
TEAM HOYT SAN DIEGO:
Team Hoyt San Diego is a non-profit that assists families in inclusion in sports, running races, and triathlons. The Hoyt Foundation aspires to build the individual character, self-confidence and self-esteem of America’s disabled young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life; including in family and community activities, especially sports, at home, in schools, and in the workplace. Team Hoyt San Diego works to partner with local organizations to show support for its cause through donations as well as to provide assistance at races and events. Get involved here!
AFFA - ALLIANCE FOR FULL ACCEPTANCE:
AFFA’s mission is to achieve, nurture, and defend equality and full acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people. Get involved here!
CHALLENGED ATHLETES FOUNDATION:
It is the mission of the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) to provide opportunities and support to people with physical challenges, so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Get involved here!
